Portugal has a long wine history, but there are a few men and women who have transformed the modern face of Portuguese wines. This masterclass will look at wines from six of these wine-leaders, and explain how they have taken all that is best in Portugal, grape varieties, landscapes and wine traditions, and remoulded them to make Portugal into one of the most exciting wine countries in the world. In our changing climate, Portuguese grapes are finding new homes in many other countries, and bringing the different flavours of Portugal to places where traditional grapes are starting to struggle in the familiar places.
