Resource Overview

Potazzine is the Italian word for the colourful and vivacious birds which live in the Tuscan countryside and in Montalcino it’s also a term of endearment for children. In fact, it was their maternal grandmother who affectionately gave the nickname to Viola and Sofia – the daughters of Giuseppe and Gigliola Gorelli who own the estate, and thus in 1993, Le Potazzine was born (the same year as Viola).
