An evening of elegant Elgin wine with Iona's owner Andrew Gunn About this Event Andrew Gunn’s vineyards are located in the Highlands of Elgin to the South East of Cape Town. They are situated on a mountain plateau at 420 metres above sea level, surrounded by the beautiful Kogelburg Nature Reserve, where the prevailing winds blow from the cold Atlantic ocean. The grapes ripen slowly here, often up to two months later than other Western Cape vineyards. Winemaker, Werner Muller is one of the most highly regarded winemakers in South Africa and Iona wine range continues to go from strength to strength. Andrew Gunn will give us a virtual tour of his farm and winery and talk us through the three Iona wines we send you, including one white and two reds. How does it work? One £70 ticket includes: Zoom Link to log in to the tasting at 19:30 hosted by Penny @ Cellar Door Wines and Andrew Gunn. We will deliver to you 3 full bottles of Iona wines plus snacks. Delivery is free if you are local to us, but an extra £9.95 if you are further away. Please note that we cannot send you the wine and food if you are not on the UK mainland!
