*For residents of Washington, DC and Northern Virginia (inside of the 495 Beltway) ONLY!
This 6-week course is designed around the appreciation of wine, how it’s made, and how to best enjoy it. The course is a natural continuation of our Wine 101 course, but it’s not a prerequisite. Each week, we will discuss a new topic that goes beyond the basics and adds depth to your understanding of the wine world, and we will enjoy two wines that reflect the week’s topic. We’ll discuss regional differences, traditions, and wine styles beyond red, white, and sparkling.
Each week will cover a new topic:
1) New World vs. Old World Wines
2) South Africa, Australia & South America
3) Rosé
4) Germany & Austria
5) The Iberian Peninsula
6) Sweet Wines
The course cost includes 12 bottles of wine, tax, and local delivery of the wine (if in DC or VA inside the beltway)..
All classes will be interactive, conducted via Zoom, and are limited to 20 registrants/households.
Classes are recorded and available to participants for the duration of the course. If you miss a class, no worries! You can watch at your lesiure. Because of this, no refunds will be issued for missed classes and you can sign up for DCanter Wine School after the session's start date.
