Central France houses Burgundy, a wine region locked in any wine aficionados heart. It is steeped in tradition and home to classic grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Gamay and the expressive Pinot Noir. Within the undulating hills of Côte d’Or, from villages such as Gevrey-Chambertin and Puligny-Montrachet, we find the famous expressions of the classic grape varieties, and wines to die for. In addition to the diversity we find in this esteemed region, there are different levels of quality from lighter regional wines to Cru wines - an aspect to be discovered on this great tasting. As we move East, we will discover wine regions such as Jura and Savoie who create beautiful, distinctive styles reknowned in the French Alps. The Wines: For this tasting, students will receive tasting kits with 50ml samples of the wines tasted throughout the duration of this course. Tasting kit delivery can be made to anywhere within the UK. If you are interested in receiving the course tasting kits, however your delivery address is not within the UK, please get in touch BEFORE booking as depending where you are located, we may be able to still arrange delivery for an additional fee. If you do NOT want to receive a tasting kit, and just want to book onto the evening without receiving wine samples that is absolutely fine!
