Join guest Katherine Cole, author of Rosé All Day: The Essential Guide to Your New Favorite Wine, to see why rosé is great in all seasons.
About this Event
You might think rosé wines can only be drunk in spring and summer, but guest instructor and wine expert Katherine Cole—author of the upcoming book “Sparkling Wine Anytime” and the recent “Rosé All Day”—begs to differ. In this installment of Milk Street’s wine series, Katherine will talk you through rosé’s fascinating and illustrious history and convince you that rosé does indeed match beautifully with winter foods. (Hint: There are no hard-and-fast rules when it comes to pairing rosés with foods, because they can complement just about anything!) Hearty rosés are produced everywhere from Italy to Israel, often from indigenous grapes and using classic techniques. As you sip along with Katherine, you’ll get familiar with winemaking concepts and terms like “oxidative,” “skin contact,” “saignée,” and more. You’ll come away feeling more comfortable choosing, enjoying and pairing rosé wines with all kinds of occasions and dishes.
