One of the most amazing places to take in the view in Napa during Autumn, is at the top of our Carneros vineyard. Bordered by the Mayacamas Mountains to the North and San Pablo Bay to the South, here the ocean breeze and fog from the bay meets the warmth of the valley to create a micro-climate perfect for growing sparkling wine grapes.
This year, we paid homage to this magical place with the release of a new Reserve Blanc de Blancs sparkling wine called Chandon By The Bay. Made with a selection of the purest, highest quality Chardonnay grapes grown at our Carneros Estate Vineyard, By the Bay is partially matured in French oak barrels to provide added complexity in a subtle way. The wine spends three and a half years aging in Chandon’s cellars, giving it time to reach its optimum balance of fruit and complexity.
Pauline will taste and discuss Chandon By The Bay, as well as the 2014 Vintage Brut from Yountville, and a fan favorite: Chandon Sparkling Red.
Brand Education Manager, Brian Fairleigh, will also show us how to make a delicious fall sangria, with the Sparkling Red!
We hope that you can join us.
