English wine making history dates back to the Roman times when they used to grow grapes in this area with the sunny microclimate of our chalk-stream valley conducive to excellence in grapes.

Lunchtime & afternoon tastings
Whilst we’d love you to join us for drinks and food between 12 and 6pm every Thursday to Sunday, we also conduct fantastic tastings for those interested in learning a little more about our beautiful range of still and sparkling wines. This is an informal but informative session in a wonderfully relaxed environment where portions are rather more generous than is the tradition for a tasting! We accompany the 5 wines with scrumptious cheese & charcuterie which compliment the wines perfectly and make for a rather special lunch. We do highly recommend pre-booking as these are very popular but there may be some walk-in availability – so please do check at the bar!
Current sessions are at 12.30pm and 3.00pm and cost £60 per couple. From June onwards the lunchtime session will remain a tasting only, whilst the 3pm option will also include a tour of the vines and cost £35 per head.
From the 29th May our wonderfully popular Wine Wednesdays will also return for the season giving you the opportunity to join us for an evening of tasting, commencing at 7.30pm and costing £35 per head.
Please note all tastings are adult-only experiences.
