Vineyard Description

At Camel Valley, we’ve been producing award-winning, world-class wines in a beautiful corner of Cornwall since 1989

When ex-RAF pilot Bob Lindo and his wife Annie planted their first eight thousand vines in 1989, they never dreamed of the phenomenal success they would achieve within 2 decades. They had bought their farm in the heart of the Cornish countryside several years earlier, seeking a change from service life and the perfect place to bring up their young family, and initially farmed sheep and cattle. Each summer they watched the grass turn brown on the sun-drenched slopes of the Camel Valley, and wondered if vines might enjoy such an aspect.

Tours and Tastings

Grand Tour & Tasting
Every Wednesday evening at 5.00pm between April and October, with an additional tour at 5.00pm on Thursdays throughout August. A wine maker will personally guide you through the vineyard year and winery process, answering any questions you may have. Afterwards, there will be a fun wine tasting session, beginning with our most famous wine, Cornwall Brut. We aim to taste a minimum of 5 wines, and you can of course buy wine by the bottle or case after the tour.
The site closes at 6.45 pm (5pm if you're not booked on the tour and 5pm on non Grand Tour days). Soft drinks are always available. The Grand Tour and Tasting is always very popular, so it is essential to book in advance. There are no concessions for children on the Grand Tour, so please if you would like to bring children, see the 2:30pm Guided Tour. There are no facilities for extra family members or friends to wait while you do the tour and if you are being collected after the Grand Tour, then 6.30 is a good time.
