Learn about the most important red grape varieties around the globe; which wines are made from them, where and why. As well as how red wine production is different to white wine production; which reds to drink young and which ones are worth keeping for a few years.
You are likely to taste 7-8 wines from these countries/regional styles:
- Bordeaux (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petit Verdot)
- Burgundy (Pinot Noir)
- Rhone (Syrah v Shiraz)
- Key Italian reds (Sangioves, Nebiolo, Barbera)
- Spanish Red Varieties (Tempranillo & Garnacha)
- Other reds such as Zinfandel, Pinotage and more
