Description

Port, lush and sweet, is one of the most delicious wines in the world. So why,do we only buy it at Christmas? Stand up and be counted Port-lovers a this is one of the great classics of the wine world and we will demonstrate that it is as valid today as it was 300 years ago.

Of course bottle-aged Vintage is the most famous style, but let’s not forget the more affordable fresh white Ports and wood-aged styles like Tawny, Crusted and LBV. We also want to show the versatility of this wine. Yes, port is great with Stilton, but we will also show you some other great food combinations such as chocolate!

Port is one of the oldest styles of wines and has been shipped to London for more than 300 years. We will help you discover its rich history, astonishing terraced vineyards and unique production process. You will learn the art of port tasting, how to taste Port like an expert, identify classic Port styles and assess quality.

The styles are very diverse and far more versatile with food than you may think. You will learn how to taste Port, identify classic styles, assess quality and find out the best time to drink it. You’ll also be given food and Port matching tips from cheeses, hammon, puddings and chocolate.
