Enjoy wine? Know what you like but want to know more about your favourite red, white or rosé?
If you answered yes, then this is the tasting for you! We'll guide you through why your favourite wine tastes the way it does, how it's made, the characteristics, aromas and flavours to look for and how to make more informed choices in the wine aisle or restaurant. Come with us on a journey of wine discovery!
No previous experience is necessary - perfect for people who are new to wine tasting and want to have fun learning about wine in a friendly and relaxed way. Tasting at least 6 wines, we'll cover:
how wine is made
what makes different wines taste the way they do
the world’s major wine producing countries and regions
the world's most important grape varieties and wine styles
how to understand and interpret wine labels
how to recognise different components such as acidity, tannin and body
how to identify and describe aromas and flavours
We know that wine can sometimes seem a bit daunting, complicated and intimidating. Not here! We'll explain everything, without the jargon, and with every opportunity to ask all of your wine questions in a welcoming and informal setting.
Pairs beautifully with our Introduction to Classic Wines of the World evening.
