Description

If you can’t push the boat out at Christmas, when CAN you push it out?

If you’re wondering whether to opt for New World or Old World wines for special meals this festive season, this tasting might help you decide. Join us for an evening of great wines in which we’ll be comparing some traditional classics with their counterparts from other parts of the world. While the precise line-up is still to be finalised, the bare bones are all in place, and we can tell you that there’ll be a fine white Burgundy, a fragrant Rhône Syrah and a refined Médoc red (Pauillac or St Julien) paired with similarly-styled wines from the southern Hemisphere.

And we’ll finish with a couple of ports, one a mature vintage port, and the other a silky 20-year-old tawny – both will be delicious, but which will you prefer?

Spaces are a limited for what is sure to be a very popular tasting, so book soon to avoid disappointment
