Ridge has sixty years of winemaking history at the top of Santa Cruz Mountains at Monte Bello.  Eric plans to talk about the early history and founders, why they chose to make wine using traditional methods of 1850’s bordeaux, and why they specialize in the varietals that grow so well at Monte Bello.  Eric joined Ridge twenty-six years ago, hired by Paul Draper. He made it his life’s work, and has only ever worked at Ridge. Starting at the top, why go would he go anywhere else!  He will be tasting a fabulous set of bottles with rich stories behind them and discuss everything-soil, rain, sunshine, winemaking, and history of how these vineyards came to be planted.
