Strength in adversity has never been better exemplified than by Samantha OKeefe, a Californian who found paradise and the perfect terroir in the foothills of a dramatic mountain at the bottom of Africa, but who has had to start from scratch after her Lismore Estate winery, vineyards and house were destroyed by bushfire last December. Her passionate vision which turned vines grown at 300 metres into a series of award-winning South African wines is now even more evident as she starts again from scratch, boosted by the incredible gratitude and financial support which has poured in from all over world.
