Resource Overview

Join us to commemorate ‘Festa della Repubblica’ - the national Italian commemoration of the referendum of 1946. Whilst we might not be able to hold parties in the streets, we’re delighted to be able to bring good company and talk of excellent Italian wines to your homes.

Castello di Volpaia is one of the most celebrated estates in the Chianti Classico DOCG region.

The vineyards, located between 1,000 and 1,750 feet, are among the highest in the area and whilst they have benefitted greatly from recent warmer vintages, remain known for their freshness and elegance. Owner Giovanella Stianti used to sell to The Wine Society in the seventies and the older vintages kept beautifully. She is now joined by the next generation in the running of the winery and we are delighted to have her daughter Federica host this exciting event.
