Resource Overview

In this Behind the Wines series special, Elaine Chukan Brown speaks with wine writer and author, and Master of Wine Jancis Robinson. In addition to writing daily for JancisRobinson.com and weekly for the Financial Times, she is founder-editor of The Oxford Companion to Wine, co-author with Hugh Johnson of The World Atlas of Wine (4.7 million copies sold just before the 8th edition was published in October 2019) and co-author of Wine Grapes. In 1984, she was the first person from outside the wine trade to become a Master of Wine and has since received a multitude of awards and recognition from around the world, including the Order of the British Empire (OBE) and France’s Officier du Mérite Agricole.

This special episode serves as a celebration of a milestone for Jancis as November
marks the 20th anniversary of JancisRobinson.com. Join us in congratulating her on such a significant accomplishment and hear from Elaine and Jancis as they discuss what has changed in that time, and how California’s role on the world stage has evolved.
