Resource Overview

California Wine Institute’s Behind the Wines series focused on bringing California’s rich grape growing and winemaking community to our international audience. Our host, wine writer and educator Elaine Chukan Brown, has engaged some of California’s top winegrowers and winemakers and thought leaders from across the globe in thought-provoking discussions on the state of California wine on the world stage. Now, as we wrap up the first season, we are pleased to bring you a very special series of on-the-ground reports on harvest across the Golden State.

“The Winemaker Sessions” finale is an extended episode consisting of five segments, each running 20-25 minutes, bringing together some of the state’s most admired winemaking personalities to taste and discuss each other’s wines, sharing stories about what’s happening now in California wine. Welcoming return guests from Behind the Wines’ most popular episodes and new faces from California’s most renowned wine regions, this is an opportunity to experience the unparalleled comradery of California's wine community.
